Less than a week and we will be boarding a plane to go back to our roots in the States. Two years ago I was looking forward to this event, but now, it makes me nervous just thinking about it!! It makes me wish that everyone from the States could just come here!
I was just thinking about it all and getting nervous about it, but what my Grandma Grace, and so many others have told me, give it to God and he will take the stress and the burden of everything away. It is hard to do, since I am a very organized and planned out person, and like to have everything done way ahead of time (unlike my sweet unorganized, non-planning husband {love him!}). But, it does give me great joy (sadly) to hear other missionaries in our mission surprised that our calendar is already almost all planned out! Of course this is our first furlough, so we'll see how far the planning goes before it gets all messed up when we are back in the States! =) Oh yes, I have been told this.
But for now it gives me peace. And for now, God has our packing, video editing, getting house ready, Landon's nap schedule, and our peace of mind in his huge, giant, hands. How good does that sound? Doesn't it make you sad to know that their are people out their in the world suffering with burdens, anxiety, and worries that they hold on to, because they don't know that they can give it all up to God, and He will take care of them? Maybe you work with them, or carpool with them, or EVEN see them in Sunday School, in the shopping mall, or in a restaurant. Think about it, you can be a missionary too! You don't have to raise support and live half way across the world. We did because it was our calling. Your calling could be where you work. Think about it.
This is one of my favorite posts ever! I am thinking about it-other countries are sending missionaries to the USA now. That is sad. Each of us as Christians is a missionary-sent by God to wherever He calls us. Thanks for the thoughtful comments.
